Will artificial intelligence set the rhythm in the automotive industry?

Until recently, technologies such as: rain sensor, ESP - i.e. traction control system or automatic air conditioning. Nowadays, all of the above technologies are standard.

In 2000. one of Seat's newest models was released as the future of the automotive industry.
The systems that he had at that time were ABS, airbags or "radio computer". Nowadays, there is technology that at that time no one even thought about. There is a good chance that the "Technological Singularity" phenomenon - a hypothetical moment - will occur in the near future in which the development of civilization, where technological progress becomes so rapid, that all human predictions will become obsolete.
At the moment it does not threaten humanity, so we are able to predict technologies to some extent, which will be released in a few years.

EU rules will spread security systems

It is known that security-related functions will be the fastest. After all, their use is usually enforced by regulations. Below is an example. The Parliament, the Council and the European Commission passed amendments regarding the necessity to install speed limiters and others safety components. They provide that from 2022, corresponding technologies will be mandatory in European vehicles for safe driving, regardless of the equipment version. In fact, all of them already exist, but are currently being installed at an additional cost. For now, it is not known whether if from 2022 will be installed in every vehicle, this will mean that the base versions of the cars will become more expensive.

EU rules will cover such security functions as:

Automatic emergency braking
If we fail to react to the traffic situation, we will look at the phone or something it will unexpectedly jump onto the road, the car will start to brake itself to avoid the obstacle.
A sensor that detects sleepiness
The sleep sensor verifies the direction in which the driver's head is moving. If it moves in a way characteristic for a person falling asleep, i.e. swaying sideways or falling down, the alarm will be automatically triggered
Optional speed assistant
Speed Assist can work in different ways: from warning to automatic slowing down of the vehicle. According to ACEA, the system that alerts the driver to speeding with an audible signal annoys drivers - 90 percent of them will want to turn it off.
